How are the
rings made? Each ring starts from a solid bar of quality
6AL-4V U.S. manufactured titanium with aerospace certifications. 6-4
titanium is light, strong, durable, highly corrosion resistant, and non
magnetic. It is also hypoallergenic which is why it is used for medical
implants. It will not cause any allergic reactions.
The ring is machined on a lathe from the
solid material, if the ring has an inlay the ring is rough machined but
the inlay grooves are finished. The inlays are then pressed in with
metal rollers, and then it's re-machined to the finished dimensions. The inside is shaped for a comfortable fit. Click
here to see the shape of the inside surface.
I
then do all the sanding, engraving, and polishing using a few grades of
sandpaper and a special fine sanding cloth called Micro Mesh. Click here for a couple examples of the
surface finishes.
Finally I clean the rings and
check for any scratches and to make sure the finish looks good. After
that they are ready to go. All rings come in a black velvet ring case
with gold colored trim.

Ordering - Each
ring is made to your order specifications. Just choose a style, size,
width, thickness, and finish and add it to your shopping cart. You can
check out from there, or browse more designs and add another if you
wish. All rings are available for purchase online with a major credit
card or Paypal. Your order is processed through 128 bit SSL encryption
for a safe transaction. I can also accept credit card orders over the
phone or money orders too.
Shipping - All rings come
with free shipping, I mostly ship to United States and Canada. If you
are international I may be able to send a ring by First Class mail,
however there are usually customs fees which are about 30% of the price
of the ring and also USPS lists jewelry as being prohibited for a lot
of countries. You can check for country restrictions here http://pe.usps.com/text/Imm/immctry.htm
For U.S. orders rings are
shipped by USPS
Priority mail. Delivery time will depend on how my workload is at the
moment, for non gold rings it will take about 7-10 days for
arrival however during busy times it can take a few days extra. Gold
inlayed rings will typically take a couple days longer since I usually
have to order the gold. If you would like to know the status on your
order you may email me any time. From
February to about September are my busiest months.
If you require expedited
shipping I can ship by UPS 2nd day for an extra $25 or overnight for
$50 (must be a street address). Extra shipping charges can be added using this page.
Canadian orders are shipped by
USPS first class, shipping to Canadian addresses usually takes 2 weeks
because of customs. You will be required to pay for the customs fees.
Custom Work - If you don't see the size or width you would like or you would like a
variation on a style, please email me
and I will try to accommodate your needs.
Sizing - Please see the sizing page for
important ring sizing information.
Some Things I
can't do - Black titanium, rings with stones.
About Me - My name is Wes Waddell, I have been a machinist since I was 17. My
dad had a machine shop in San Diego and I started off there. I spent
many years in aerospace machine shops and at the last shop I worked at
I made a few rings from extra titanium pieces. I ended up selling a
couple of them on Ebay. I had the idea to start making titanium rings
but I got sidetracked with another business. It wasn't until a couple
years later at the end of 2003 that I was able to get back to this
idea. I've been making rings for over 4 years now.
